  • Bring your spreadsheet into Quentas

If you have been tracking your money in a spreadsheet or have an export from your bank, you do not need to start from scratch.

    Upload the file

Go to Import / Export and upload your Excel file. Quentas detects the columns (date, amount, description, category, account…) and shows you a preview of the first rows.

    Map columns and values

Confirm which column is which, then tell Quentas how your values match its accounts, categories and movement types. Anything that does not exist yet is created for you.

    Export whenever you want

Your data is yours: you can export your movements back to Excel at any time, filtered by dates and with the columns you choose.

  • Know your net worth in five minutes

Your net worth is what you own minus what you owe. It is the one number that tells you whether your finances are moving in the right direction, and it is easier to calculate than it sounds.

    Add your accounts

Create one account for each place where you keep money: your checking account, savings, cash or a brokerage account. If you already know today’s balance, enter it as a dated balance and Quentas will take it as the starting point.

    Add investments and debts

Register your investments with their ticker so their value follows the market, and add any loan or debt with the amount you still owe. Debts subtract from your net worth; investments add to it.

    Check it every month

Once everything is in place, the dashboard shows your net worth and how it has changed over time. A monthly look is enough to spot trends early and celebrate progress.
